Ball Cake and Cakes made in Unniyappa chatti







Ingridients :-

                            1. Maida - 1 cup
                           

                            2. Sugar - 1 cup powdered


                            3. Eggs - 4


                            4. Dalda/Vanaspathi - 100 g (Liquified)


                            5. Vanilla essence - 1/4 tsp


                            6. Salt - a small pinch
 

                            7. Baking powder -3/4 tsp





How to make:



              In a large Mixer jar, Crack eggs n blend. Add sugar n maida n grind. Then add liquified dalda n vanilla essence. Grind well n transfer this batter to a big bowl n add baking powder n salt. Mix well n keep aside for 1 hour. 

                   Keep unniyappa chatti ready n find a suitable lid for it. (It should be covered properly) We need the same size of a dawara and a lid. Keep unniyappachatti on stove n flame it. Once its hot, keep the flame in sim. Apply just a touch of ghee on each holes. 
            
               Then pour half a ladle of batter to each holes. (Remember the cake will rise, so fill only half) Cover the unniyappa chatti with lid/big plate and keep the dawara filled with boiling water, on top. Cake will get cooked in 5 minutes. 

      Remove the dawara n lid, take out each cake, if it passes skewer test :) Continue the same process until the batter finishes. Real soft n spongy ball cake is ready!
